    Can a 346xp use a 3/8 chain?

    Also, with 50cc does it have enough power to buck 18-24 inch hardwoods?

    The 346 was never designed to accept a .375 chain.

    The 346 is designed to use the narrow kerf .325 this is different than a standard .325 chain and bar.

    While the 346 would be able to make the bucking cuts (longest available bar is 20") it was not designed for this work. This is a PROFESSIONAL saw and intended for professionals that would have multiple saws. This saw the 346 is designed to be the best possible limbing saw produced.
