    Question:
I have a Husqvarna LGT2654 that I bought new from Theisens in April 2007. The left rear axel snapped as I was mowing 2 days ago and the wheel fell off. The repair man used by Theisens looked at the axel and said the metal appeared to have been crystalized as if it was over heated during manufacturing. This tractor is only used to mow and has not had a hard life. The repair man said he had never seen this before and it has to be a factory defect. Since the warranty is only 2 years it appears I'm going to be stuck buying a whole transaxel. Has anyone else heard of this?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this failure.

Please have the dealer call the Husqvarna technical support team, with the full product ID, Serial number, DOP and hours of use, to discuss the failure and how this may have happened.

The consumer use warranty is 2 years from DOP based on usage, consumer use is limited to a single residence.

Just an update. I followed Scott's advice and Husqvarna has agreed to replace the transaxle if I pay labor.

          Thanks for the help.
