    Question:
I have a Husky 55 chainsaw that has lost it's spark. I have replaced the plug and the ignition unit but seem to get no progress. What is the proper gap for both units?
    Any other suggestions welcome.

    Thank you
    Steve

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this concern.

The model 55 requires a different cranking speed than almost any other saw, the model 55 will need to be pulled very fast and hard to produce a spark from the ignition. Most people can not pull it fast enough on the bench. Put the unit on the ground put your right shoe / boot in the rear handle make sure the switch is on and then pull the unit very hard and fast. You should produce spark. This was done on purpose this is not a failure. The reason is to combat "kickback" during cranking speeds.

The air gaps are ignition coil is .3mm /.012 and the spark plug is .5mm / .020.
