    Question:
I'm looking at buying a used 266XP with a 20" bar. Can I put a longer bar on that saw? If so how long without out matching the power head? I've been very happy with my 350 with 18" bar but have been getting into some bigger trees lately and need more saw. Thank you -

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

Suggested bar lengths are typically given in the technical section of the operators manual.

All IPL and OM's are available for download on our website http://www.husqvarna.com.

This manual however was published in a time where the length was not given so after researching this model the longest recommended bar length is 24". Keep in mind the longer the bar and chain the more dangerous the chainsaw becomes. Use extreme caution and follow all safety recommendation in your chainsaw operators manual when operating this machine.
