    Question:
    I recently changed the oil and filter on my YTH2348 and am now using fully synthetic oil. However, I just noticed that I get a message on my hour meter CH 6 Oil. Oil level is fine, no evidence of leakage, ???
    Not sure whether my oil pump has died or what - can't find anything on service messages or error messages for the mower.

    This is a great question.

    Actually this is covered in the operators manual, usually depending on the manual the 6th or 7th page of the "Operation" section of the manual under the header "Service Reminder / Hour Meter". Also there is a frequently asked question that address this.

       I spoke with customer service and they said run about 2 hrs of mowing and it should cycle through. There are not any reset functions. It is automatic . Keep an eye out on recalls.

      Hi Craig,

      Thanks very much.  I am kind of surprised that there isn't something in the manual that alerts owners to this.  You want to take care of the machine and I was afraid to run it for fear that the oil pump was malfunctioning and I would sieze things up...
