General Product Question
And you warranty - limited, in comparison to the 'leader' in this market (which u know who that is...) Few of the reviews did mention they like the machine, didn't like lack of throttle, and unit was very loud (that another red flag). I have a Craftmans now, ~ 20 years old, runs great.. but its time for relacement. Which could u honestly say would the 12527HV be around for the next 10 years ... I know 20 would be pushing it ... Unless u can pitch me a valid response to this email, my purchase decission & money, will need to move on to alturnative vendor. Thx u.

The LCT (Liquid Combustion Technologies) is not a "new" engine in the market place they have partnered with the company that used to be Tecumseh / Lauson. We have been using LCT since approximately late 2009 and have been very pleased with the durability and reliability very few failures and those have typically been minor. The throttle control or lack there of is agreed old school. For many walk mowers, generators, pumps and snow blowers we only want the engine to be run at top governed RPM, this does several things. First it puts the engine in the proper RPM to be the most emission efficient, also the impeller and auger are designed to work at the RPMs of an engine at top governed RPM, also this moves enough air to cool the engine properly, if the engine has a charging system it produces enough power to operate the lights and or heated handles. It moves enough oil in the engine to keep it properly lubricated, It also puts the engine above the power band preventing the engine from "lugging".
Another point to make is Husqvarna may have been the builders of your Craftsman snow blower all those years ago. While Husqvarna does not support any private label machine for instance it would have to be serviced and warranted through Sears if a Craftsman Husqvarna does build a quality machine.
