    Question:
I just bought a husqvarna 450 18 innch chain saw. After only cutting down 3 trees in 12 inche diameter the chain does not appear to have enough chain oil. How can I increase the chain oil to the chain. It appears to be a fixed oiler.
    Details:

     Hi Fred

    Thanks for contacting Husqvarna.

Depending on when this unit was produced it could have either a non-adjustable oiler or one that is adjustable.  If it is adjustable the adjuster would be next to the bar, on the underneath of the saw.  More than likely if it is not putting out an adequate amount of oil it is due to a clogged oiler, to clean this out simply blow it out with compressed air.  To check that the unit is oiling properly hold the saw over a fresh cut log with the brake off and throttle the unit up, it should leave a distinct lin of oil on the log.  Also the unit should be running through oil at a rate of roughly 2/3rds to 1 tank of oil per tank of fuel.
