Problem:
Poor Acceleration and Stalling
Cause:
Improper warm up procedure. The customer is not following the proper starting and warm-up procedure as outlined in the operators manual.
Steps:
Proper Warming Procedure:
- Step 1
Once the engine is running, let the unit idle for about 15 seconds (to warm up)
- Step 2
Once the unit is warmed up it should accelerate smoothly through the full stroke of the throttle.
Comment
Try two things: 1) Replace the spark plug. I like the E3 brands. 2) Replace the gas with a fresh mixture of 40:1. Most string trimmers use 32 ounces of oil to 1 Gal of Gasoline. I use Exact Mix Brand.
Other items are to replace the muffler and have the carburator adjusted.
I bough a weed eater used it 3 times and when you pull the trigger it bogs down with no power what so ever. I took it back and got another one brought it home and about 10 minutes it started doing the same thing. I give up
I have a 128ld for 6 months now I hardly use it and now it bogs out. But if I pump on the throttle it stays running with lack of power. I put fresh husquarna gas and still the same thing. Does the warranty cover that please let me know I don't know what else to do.
My Poulan Pro trimmer is only two weeks old, from the very first time I started it, it will only run on the start position and will stall when I place lever in run mode. even after allowing engine to warm-up as recommended in manual, also looses power when attempting to accelerate throttle trigger. Manual recommends carb adjustment by authorized dealer, would this be covered by new product warranty?
