    Question:
    Husqvarna Snow Blower 15530SB-LS (96193003801)
    SN: 081409M 000700

The Owners Manual shows a "fuel shut-off valve", but there is only a hole where it should be, according to the drawing in the manual. The engine seems to start and run ok. The hole (about 1 1/2 inches round) is covered with a (temporary) sticky plastic cover. Could the valve have fallen inside the housing, and is this going to be a problem?

    Hi Don

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

The first thing that I would do is verify that you have the correct manual. Then look in the manual to verify that your model is equipped with the shut off valve. If it is supposed to have one, you should take the unit into an authorized dealer to get the missing part installed, but if you take the unit in to the dealer and the unit that you have is not supposed to have one, you would be subject to the shops labor charges. So check the manual to verify that your unit is supposed to have one before you do anything.

Not all machines have a petcock valve and with this unit having a Briggs & Stratton engine I can not be absolutely sure without looking at the machine.

    Thanks again for contacting Husqvarna.

Thanx, Greg.  Seems I have the correct manual, and it deifinitely says I should have a fuel shut-off valve.   I'll take your good advice and go to an authorized dealer and have it checked out.  Thanks again.
