Unfortunately our saw or gas cap is not the culprit in this situation, the ethanol in the fuel is the problem. What happens is the ethanol has a concentration of alcohol which when the fuel and alchol starts to separate it causes the gas tank and or cap to swell which causes the problems you are experiencing. Again unfortunately we have no control over the fuel or ethanol content in the fuel, that is government mandated and all gas stations use a blended fuel. The best thing I can recommend is to drain all of the fuel out of the machine when not in use. This will cut down on the swelling.
With all that said, depending on the model and date of purchase you may be able to get a replacement cap. Just call our consumer line at 1-800-487-5951 and tell them whats going on.
