    Question:
Hi...I bought a 224L wead eater last May and as it turns out, being active duty Air Force, I received an assignment to Saudi Arabia and therefore am going to sell my brand new Husky. So when the weather turned chilly I ran the trimmer to use up the remaining gas in preparation for winter. When the trimmer quit running, I took the gas cap off to let the remainder evaporate. When I took the gas cap off, the plastic string/wedge shaped attachment must have caught on what looks like a fuel line (black tube with a grooved fitting on the end)and dislodged it, I'm assuming. I reckon it could be just laying in the tank but before I sell it, I need to be sure. I only used the trimmer twice and it worked like a champ. But now,I need to know if I messed it up.

    Mr. Withrow,

    Thank you for contacting Husqvarna.

I believe what has happen is that your fuel filter has become separated from the fuel line (black tube). The fuel filter is probably loose at the bottom of the tank, simply remove the filter and reattach it to the fuel line.

I hope this helps and thanks again.
