    Question:
I got my weedeater mower around the first of june.Right after assembling i tried it out and when you engage the blade it shakes and shimmies like it is going to take off into the air. It goes like a dream in reverse. I see that someone else had this problem, but I got mine from Amazon.com and tried to save the crate if i had to return it. After talking to the company on the phone they advised me to take it in. I am renting a trailer and taking it in tomorrow, but the company who is going to fix it said something about bringing the warrenty with me. I don't remember anything like that in my box. They said it would be 2 or 3 weeks before they can even look at it, so I will have to hire my lawn done during that time also. What is the way this is handled to take it in..First time I ever had to do anything like this. Thank You

    Hey Kathleen,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing some shaking.  A reason why the mower deck shakes once you turn the blades on is because of the force and power that is needed to run them.   Without knowing the extremity of the shaking, there will always be an initial shaking when turning the blades on.  Once the blades are engaged there will also be a constant vibration in the deck due to the power of the blades rotation.  If you still plan on visiting the dealership, be sure to ask them if your mower seems to be experiencing more than the ordinary vibration and what their initial thoughts may be.  Also, your warranty papers should be with your Owner's Manual and only registering the product is suggested for warranty.

      Kathleen,

We've heard this feedback from a few other Weed Eater One customers as well.  While you should still consult your local dealer, also consider this note from another customer:

"I found the same thing with mine the first time I operated it. What I found is that engaging the blade slowly stops the insane vibrating that is caused from the blade going from stationary to operating speed. Think of it like the clutch in a car, if you let it out to quickly the engine will die. That's what is happening when engaging the blade to fast."
