    Question:
Back in the 1990's, I bought a new American Yard Products Flymo Model RL508B, S/N 00175. This is a Flymo, but with conventional wheels (it's not a hovering Flymo). The mower was new in the box until late last fall when I got it out and started using it. One thing I don't like about it is that it tends to really sling rocks and other debris I may run over out to the front and sides like no other mower I've ever used. i'm wondering if this may be either a bad design or at the least need a different blade. Anyone ever have any experience with one of these?

    Charles,

Because the Flymo products don't have a dependent deflector shield they do tend to throw debris more so than a standard mower. Unfortunately there are no service bulletins or updates on a machine of that age.

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.
