    Question:
I have a new Weedeater one.
Question 1:On a slight grade the mower will not pull in low (1st) gear. It will pull the hill easily in 2nd or 3rd gear. It feels like a car with a slipping clutch in first gear. The grade is not steep at all and I read the limitations of 15 degree.
Question 2: Is there an adjustment on the shift lever? I must pull the lever into reverse and hold it to back up and if I am in nuetral the mower creeps foward. To stop the creep , I must put it in reverse and then nuetral.
I am very capable of making any adjustments as most of the service centers in my area (Near Pittsburgh Pa) do not seem to know anything about these units yet.

    Dale,

Thanks for the great questions on Answer Army.  You are correct about not operating your unit on a 15 degree hill or greater.  If a greater speed is needed to restart movement then slowly release the clutch/parking brake with the new gear while avoiding changing the speed on the hill.  Second or third gear may be needed depending on the hill's degree and length.  If first gear begins to slip or if the unit comes to a stop then a higher gear is recommended on hill's less than 15 degrees.

The shifter can be adjusted and the below comment has a recommended solution.
