    Question:
I have a Husqvarna YTH20B42 with 130 hours. Last week my rider would not go up hills and then stopped going up any incline. I replaced the drive belt that I bought from Sears. It works better but is still slow going up hills. Do you have any information for me? Other information Product number(960430032) and serial number(121806A001232). This also has the tuff torq transmission (7A545084180) Serial #468T0038056. I stopped at a dealer and they said to call you so I tried this site. Let me know.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the question.

First have some one sit on the tractor with out it running.Push the pedal down and check the belt tension. Should have about a 1/4 play in either direction. The belt that goes on that unit is a 532130969. If anything other than that take to a dealer and have them check it out and give us a call.

    Thanks again

If you look at some of the postings there seams to be issues with cracking and bending frames that be also be the cause of your problem.  I posted a question on frame metal gauge as I have a Craftsman GT6000 with very little time that has a bent steering plate and twisted frame  metal gauge 12.  It looks like most the the tractors are actually made by MTD in china with thin china steel.  Looks like a lot of garbage out there.  I thought Husqvarna was a solution, but not after seeing all the issues with frame cracks.  So much for quality products!!  Plaese advise what you find to my email
