I just purchased a YTH24K48 tractor. When installing a HU48 mulch kit, instructions refer to discarding the mulch baffle. Not sure what that is, parts diagram does not show that. Is the mulch baffle the same as the mulch vortex? Thanks.

We apologize for the confusing note in the Mulch Kit instructions regarding removing a baffle. That note was inserted into the instructions in error and has been brought to the attention of our literature associate.
As the mower deck on your lawn tractor should not have had an accessory baffle installed from the factory, you can ignore that note.
