    Question:
359 chainsaw beeping noise--I'm getting a series of three beeps after running the saw for a few minutes at full throttle. The beeping continues for almost a minute after stopping the engine. Nothing in manual about this. Anyone know what it is? Any danger to continue running it?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom, I may have your answer!

I was recently overhauling a chainsaw, and had the same beeping sound. Mine was kind of high pitched almost like the reed whistles that I made as a kid using a piece of grass between your thumbs. Anyhow it would give two or three short high pitched beeps, and what I discovered is that I had a "Duckbill Vent" in my fuel tank, and the tank was building up pressure causing the "Duckbill vent" to open and close and create the beeping. If your saw has the duckbill vent, I would try three different things, 1. Replace the duckbill, 2. check or replace your venting fuel cap, 3. Replace the Duckbill with a "breather vent external to the fuel tank. I hope this helps! Oh, If its under warranty, take it to an authorized repair center, and ask them to check the three things that i stated. Oh, a good test is to shut the saw down, and then imediately and slowly open your fuel tank cap, If it aspirates fuel then your tank is pressurizing and not venting properly, the saw will run much better when its venting properly, so get it fixed. Again, I hope this is your solution!
