    Question:
QUESTION: what homeowner grade HUSQVARNA CHAINSAWS would take a Oregon S-56 / 16" chain? I have four of these and would like to use them on my new saw. The crossover saw lists 34 / 35 / 36 / 37 but these are probably old numbers. Thank you!

      R. Norton,

The Husqvarna 240 chainsaw uses an Oregon S-56/ 16" chain.

      I hope this helps

thank you!  should I spring for the 240E for an extra $50?  I can't really tell what the difference is.

sorry, I think the question should have been is the Trio-brake worth the extra $50?  it looks like they are all 'E' I think

My Opinion, I like just the basic chain saws, so the 240 is a good basic saw. If you like the thrills of having options, then I guess the 240E, I think the "E" option is the ease of changing the bar and chain, but its also one more component that could be a problem, check out the difference on the Husqvarna product page, I think the page even does a comparison for you, by selecting the two chain saws your interrested in.

      I hope this helps
