Rick, a couple quick checks that you can do before going to an authorized repair shop. Remove the bar and chain per the Instruction manual, clean the bar and chain thoroughly till they are both squeaky clean. Clean the groove in the bar, and the holes near where the bar mounting holes are located, I use a little parts cleaner, and my bar looks like new when done, make sure there is no grease  or wood chips in the holes of the bar near the mounting holes. Oh, I also use a little compressed air which does a good job of cleaning. Next, make sure the inside the cover, and the bar shim plate on the saw is clean. you should see a 3/4 inch long horizontal slot in the shim plate that will align itself with the hole in the bar near the mounting holes. Make sure this horizontal slot is clear of wood chips and clean, this is where the oil comes out of the saw, and goes into the bar. Next, check  and inspect the bar chain oil tank, pour the bar chain oil out of the saw and into a container, I use a funnel that has an oil screen in it. Inspect the funnel and see If any debris or wood chips came out of the tank. Also, If you don't have a funnel with a screen, then see If wifey has a piece of cheese cloth and pour the oil through that into a container. If you find debris or wood chips, then thoroughly clean out the bar chain oil tank with a parts cleaner, and insure No debris comes out of the tank. I personally had this problem, and how those wood chips got into my bar chain oil, I have no clue, but it did fix the problem. Now put clean oil in the bar chain oil tank, and install the bar and chain per the Instruction manual. Lightly pre oil your bar and chain, and pull the chain through a few revolutions to make sure it moves freely after installation. Oh, If you have cleaned the bar as clean as mine, its a good idea to remember to put a couple squirts of grease into the bar nose sprocket too. OK, after the saw is all back together, start it up and see If you have fixed the problem, If Not I would recommend an authorized repair center, there are a few parts for the oiler that could be the problem.
