Question:
I have a Husky 125B handheld blower I bought new. It has run perfectly for a year-and-a-half.
I used it the other day, it ran just fine for about 20 minutes, then bogged down and died. I could re-start it, but then it would only run for a few seconds and died again. If I put it on full choke (even though it was hot) it would run for a few seconds longer, but it still died.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Answer
Well, I took it to the local Husky service center.
They are telling me that the fuel line has rotted due to ethanol in the fuel. It's going to cost $80 to fix.
This blower is only a year and 3 months old. It seems like the fuel line rotted out awfully fast...
So how do I avoid this? This is ridiculous. All of the gas stations around here sell gas with 10% ethanol.
Any comments?

One more thing: I have other power equipment. I use the same fuel in them, too.
I have never had ANY fuel-related issues with ANY of my other equipment.
