    Question:
Bought a new Riding lawn mower (YTH23V48) from Lowes..., after 20-30 min. of use it started to bogg down and then stalled... checked the spark plugs and notice they were exteremly hot (white on the tips),I replaced them and it ran good for about 30 min and same thing..? I have gone thru to pairs of spark plugs, I'm using the correct ones, what else could it be?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting you have experienced this problem.

It sounds from your description as a fuel restriction tank not venting. Please have your local authorized service center check the machine over and repair. Make sure to mention to check the tank venting.  I suspect your spark plugs are still good so hang on to them.

Well, I, too, bought a YT built by Husqvarna but marked and marketed by some nameless outfit.  I ran my initial tank of gas for about 20 minutes or maybe a little more, and then the engine started surging (not the same engine as this one - mine's 26 HP).  The surging engine would move the tractor, but would stall when the mower was engaged.  I suspected fuel flow issues and removed the gas line from the carb and blew through it, with no restriction.  Machine cranked and ran again for a short while.  I next cracked the gas cap to insure venting of the tank and ran the rest of the tank without incident.  Second tank, very full, with tight gas cap, stalled almost immediately.  Cracking the gas cap resolved the issue and I finished the job without further incident.

My bet is that Husqvarna has a gas tank venting problem that is common across many models.

      You're welcome!
