    does anyone make a carbide chain for the 445? if so, part number? do you have to change the bar?

      you would not have to change the bar, these chains are often used by fire departments, and such  wondering why you would desire the switch from conventional chain,  they are very pricey and also nearly impossible to find a shop set up to grind them...the numbers stamped on the bar will provide you the technical size you seek....IE  (xx) dl = drive link count/    (.325/375)  = pitch/  (.50/58)  drive link guage  -  would like to know the usage behind the switch over need..

        don't cut much, but most of what i cut is for landscaping, taking out small trees, etc. and i seem to always get into a little dirt...chain done...
