It is possible, but will not be very convenient, and you will need some additional parts. The challenge is that the Model 435 uses a drive sprocket, bar and chain for a .325 pitch chain and .050 gauge bar. The Model 460 comes typically with drive sprocket which uses a .375 or 3/8 pitch chain and .050 gauge bar. Check the numbers on your specific bars for the model 435, and 460. You should see stamped on the bars .325, and 3/8 respectively.
However the 460, is convertable to either a .325 or 3/8 pitch, If you were fortunate to get a Model 460 already setup with the .325 pitch then there should be No problem, But If they are different pitch then No, you would the have to change the drive sprocket behind the clutch, and the oil pump gear which mates with the drum and sprocket. If you choose to go that route I would recommend taking it to a Husqvarna dealer to make the conversion. Also remember when you go back to the 24" bar, again you will have to change drum and sprocket and take the clutch apart each time, so its not just change bar and chain.
Also the parts for the drum and sprocket, and oil gear behind the drum, will probably cost more than buying a 16" bar for your Model 460.
I hope this helps.
PS. I am also pretty sure that the 24" bar for the model 460 uses a 3/8 pitch, so you would have to do the conversion, my best recommendation is buy the 16" or 20" combination bar and chain for the model 460, Maybe a Fathers' Day gift which is coming up fairly soon.
