    Question:
my poulan pro chainsaw (model PP4218AVX)works great, no problems, EXCEPT the gas cap has to be forced out and back in. bought new cap, and after 2 or 3 uses the new cap has done the same thing. it has to be forced out and then back in. it's like it doesn't fit anymore at all. cooling down doesn't help. it just doesn't fit anymore. what's the deal? fellow at the local small engine shop has a few saws with the same problem, but no solution. can u help?

    Hi Con,

Thanks for contacting Answer Army. Unfortunately, if the new fuel cap will not solve the problem then the tank and cap may need to be replaced.  Poulan Pro chainsaws have a 2-year warranty for parts and labor, when used for household purposes.  It sounds like your local dealer may have a couple of the saws with the same issue and we would recommend them contacting us.  So let your local servicing dealer check the saw for the date of manufacture to see if its covered under warranty.  Then they can contact our Technical Team for further assistance.  Again, thank you for using Answer Army.
