The 223L is not designed to accept ANY kind of blade.
In the US market we do not allow the use of grass blades on any model with a flexible shaft. It is Husqvarna's position that if a brush blade is needed you should start as a minimum with the model 343FR. This is the smallest brush cutter we offer. The design of the 223L is not intended for the strains put on it by a blade.
What about the 225R? It is a brushcutter and it appears to be the same machine, same engine, etc...What is the difference between them? Does it have a different shaft? They appear the same. Will the blade kit from the 225R fit the 223L?
I have a 223L and have been searching for the 537048504 brush cutter attachment. Lowe's still advertises this on the web site and Amazon. I have spent over 2 hours trying to track this down just to find out it seems to not be available - or safe. Husqvarna and Lowe's needs to get their info straight!
