    Question:
What in the world is going on here / Chinese Husqvarnas?
    Details:

i assume that these guys are making knockoffs and countries like AmeriCorp (formerly known as the USA) is allowing this stuff to be imported and utterly destroying companies like Husqvarna?

How can someone protect themselves and guarantee that a chainsaw on ebay is NOT a chinese knockoff?

      JP,

They are nice copies, and cheap too but I wouldn't want to take one apart and try to fix it, and I'm sure it comes with a 30 day warranty, and after that your on your own, Lol.

Most of the plastics are made so that once you remove a threaded screw, it won't re-thread back into the same spot since the threads will be stripped, Oh they do make thread inserts which are very pricey, and then there is always plastic epoxies. - Yuk, a mess.

But there is a market for throw away chainsaws, and if your real lucky it might last a while, also Lol.

If husqvarna wants a market for throw away chainsaws, that is why they make/sell poulans (husqvarna owns poulan)..... nothing against anyone that owns one..but they are priced right to throw them away.

I do not wnat to throw away my 480CD or my 444SE or my 61, or my 2101XP because I cannot buy a screw or gasket.
