    Question:
I have a 128DJx. After taking it to the only "trustworthy" repair shop (engine was fine, head wasn't spinning) three times to actually correct the problem, it looks like it's working again. On a somewhat related note, while Husqvarna makes good equipment, if it needs servicing, you're on your own. At one point, the authorized repair center stuffed PAPER down the shaft to get the head to engage. Have pictures to show it, in case Husqvarna and/or a courtroom ever wanted to see. Husqvarna offered no help, other than to "try again."

At any rate, the 3rd time was the charm - the head spins now, except the service center neglected to replace 2 screws. And when using the brush cutter, the 3rd screw rattled away. I will never take any product to my service center again, so I just am hoping to get the size of screws needed to put the thing back together myself.

Thanks in advance, and avoid Clark County Lawn and Tractor!

So it's been MONTHS and nobody has replied or done anything?  Hey Husqvarna, could you guys go grab a 128DJX out of a warehouse, measure the screws, and give me an update?  Is there somebody I can call for this info?  I certainly don't trust the local "repair" shops since they're the ones that made the problem to begin with.

I guess I could head over to Lowe's or Home Depot and just start unscrewing a similar one...  Seriously, it takes over 4 months to determine the length of a screw?

There are two different screw sizes (for the center and the side screws.)

      They are:
      SCREW M4 X 1.75 PT 16MM
      SCREW-10-16 X 1/2, TYPE 2

Thank you Husqvarna Customer Service for providing absolutely no help via the phone.  Repeatedly referring me to my authorized service center (the same people that lied to me twice, didn't like that I didn't buy my machine from them to begin with, and believe that stuffing paper down a trimmer shaft is a reasonable repair option) for any and all questions is insulting and reveals the lack of respect for your own customers.

Thank you Husqvarna Customer Service for having an all-but-useless web site to pretend it provides supports, but does nothing whatsoever.

Thank you Husqvarna for not having any type of quality assurance at your "authorized service centers," and not caring about complaints about them.

Thank you Clark County Lawn and Tractor for complete and utter incompetence in areas of repairs, customer service, and ethical business practices.

Thank you Home Depot for stocking "Echo" brand products.

Thank you to my local Ace Hardware for stocking "Stihl" brand products.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  You got my $230 this time, but you've lost a customer for life in the process and as many potential customers I can possible influence away from Husqvarna.
