    Question:
Always stored my saw's hanging by the trigger handle.Never had a problem.
Customer states he heard this was not a good way to store saw's. Makes them hard to start. We are talking short term 30 to 60 day's. What is manufacture recommendation.
    Details:

I am a c faller and never had a problem storing my saw's this way. A customer at my shop that has 40 plus saw's said he heard this was a bad way to store extra saw's. what is recommended?

      Bart,

About the only recommendation that I would make as far as storing a saw, Is that when your done for the season, dump the gas out of it, and then start  the saw up and let it run until it burns all the fuel out of the carburetor.

Remove the spark plug, and put in one to two teaspoons of engine oil into the cylinder, and put the plug back in, and give it a half a pull just to get the oil into the cylinder. Then hang it up, stand it in a corner, or just let it sit till next year.

If your worried about the bar chain oil leaking out during the winter and making a mess you could drain that too, but I have never had a problem. I have been doing this with all my chainsaws since 1986, and have never had a problem restarting them in the spring, I definitely would get rid of the old fuel at the end of the season, and buy fresh gas in the spring.

      I hope this helps!

PS. I am Not a Husqvarna Representative or Authorized Repair, Just an experimental chainsaw person.
