    Question:
How do you get the blower cover off to access the muffler in order to clean the spark arrestor screen? One screw near the start housing refuses to budge. Don't want to twist it off. Model 130BT.

Here is a trick I use to loose stubborn screws and bolts. Take correct size all metal driver insert in the screw head. Now take a hammer give the tool a good smack or two (just don't over do it or you can break something else) to jar the screw threads loose some. A lot times this will loosen them enough so you can turn the screw, then you may need work the screw back and forth to work it out.

Some screws are so corroded in that they break no matter what you do; it is the nature of things. Personally I do like getting out too with breaking but it happens.

Good luck on getting them out.

Thanks Eugene, I have tried that on other stuff but haven't yet on the blower,  It's the only screw that's threaded into a metal part of the blower  Not sure whether it's a machine thread or a self-tapping screw.  Thanks again for you help.

Actually both. These are usually the tri lobular thread cutting version; still machine thread pitch and are usually metric. The others self tapping plastic screws
