    Question:
I just bought a Husqvarna 450 Rancher chainsaw from Lowe's. I wanted to buy a spare chain at the same time, but the salesperson was not sure which chain fit. They had two boxes -- one listed it was for the 450 (531309680) and another listed it was for the 455 Rancher (531300441), but neither listed 450 Rancher.

The manual that comes with it covers a few different models, but nowhere is 450 Rancher specifically listed, and there is various chain information in it, but nothing to tell me what I need.

I have also checked Husqvarna's site, and there is no number to call to ask, and nowhere do they tell anything about the differences between 450 and the 450 Rancher, except that the Rancher is heavier, does not have Smart Start, and yet costs more than the 450.

    Please help.

The chain info should engraved into the bar.  This saw is capable of being setup for either a .325 or .375 (3/8") chain pitch.

I suspect it going to be .325 pitch .050 gauge and 78 drive links which is more common for the 20" bar length.
