    Question:
A friend gave me an older 223L. Gas lines were broken. I've cleaned carb, replaced lines, but can't seem to find the correct routing for the fuel lines. Seems simple enough, but can't seem to get fuel flowing thru the carb.

Provided that you got the Zama C1Q-EL24 , this should work and I haven't a 223L in to look at the following should be correct.

1> fuel supply line (the one with the filter on it) goes fuel pump side of the carburetor. The hose connection should enlarged ball shaped tip on it.

      2> Connecting the primer.

1> The shorter outside connector on the primer goes to the line the returns tot the fuel tank.

2> The longer center connector on the primer goes to carburetor metering diaphragm side (the one with the square cover) hose connection.

This connector should be the same size all the way to the tip.

3> also make sure you got the metering diaphragm and gasket in the correct order. Gasket goes to carburetor body and then the diaphragm and cover.

      Hope this helps. Good Luck
