    Question:
I purchased on 8/13/2014 a 130BT. It started perfectly, the first time, and now it will not start the second time. Yes I have fresh fuel and the stop button is not down. I just dropped it off at an authorized dealer and he tells me that I will be charged for them to repair.
I think this is crazy for me to have to pay for the repair of a once used brand new unit.

    Please advise.

Does sound a little strange here too. You do have your purchase receipt on hand and provide them with a copy?

I am wondering why the dealer is so quick not to honor the warranty without finding out finding what is the problem is first. Here I give the equipment operator the benefit of doubt until I know for sure what the problem is. There is simply too many things that can go wrong with equipment from component failure to operator induced problems.

Personally I have used 2 cycle equipment most of my life and I have had a few new units fail less than a month of ownership due defects. I have never had a problem in getting them replaced or repaired under warranty. Now I am guilty of straight gassing two blowers here but I knew their failure was may fault and I rebuilt one; the other I replaced as it was just as cost effective to replace it. I simply pickup the wrong fuel can as I was not paying attention like I should.

Just a small engine repair shop owner and not associated with Husqvarna.
