Well, depending upon where you live, you can buy "Husqvarna Quart 50:1 (2-Stroke) Pre-Mix Fuel" at your local Husky dealer (here, Lowes carries it), to get started (pun intended).

I bought three (3) cans of it with my new trimmer because doing so extends the warranty from two (2) to four (4) years.  At $7.88 per quart ($30.52 per gallon), it is pretty expensive stuff; I bought it *only* to activate the enhanced warranty.  For sure, I would not recommend it "fuel your next 1000 hours of blowing"!  In that time, you'd be able to run "a cheap gas mix" and afford a new blower (and a small commuter car) with the savings.

On the other hand, the metal cans are nice (I'm already thinking of how to re-use them) and it would get your blower fired up with a "known safe product" while you wait for more knowledgeable people to provide the definitive answer to your question on the forum.

What I now use in all my 2C equipment is a good multi-mix fuel oil with fuel stabilizers which takes the guess work out of the the mixing as longer your needs mix anywhere from 16:1 to 50:1. Really cuts down on the use of multiple cans of fuel that would be going bad from not being used up.
