I just purchased a 122c. It calls for blended fuel. There is a new oil that is a universal mix. Is it ok to use this product?

Thank you for contacting Answer ARMY.

You can find your local Husqvarna dealers for sales and service and parts as well as manuals using the link.

Husqvarna branded two stroke units require 50:1 oil ratio.

We can not speak to what other manufacturers use for oil. If the oil used meets JASO FD certifications and you are provided a certification number, then oil would be considered meeting standards. If there is no certification and there are no notes about meeting JASO FD certifications then the oil does not meet our specs and should not be used.

JASO is the authority for rating two stroke engine oil.

Do not use oils with the ratings of FB or FA and do not be fooled by statements like meets or exceeds API TC specifications. Per the specs of JASO the certification number must be provided on the label of the oil container, with out a certification number the oil may not meet the specifications.
