      It can be several reasons.

The distributor they use may not have the parts that are being ordered in stock and are in turn having order them from a central warehouse which causes further delays.

I also know that recently Husqvarna closed several parts warehouses in flavor of one central distribution center. This had created huge delays in getting parts which is gradually improving now. And with all the smaller companies that Husqvarna purchased in last few years it has been logistical nightmare.

I am an independent shop owner with my main vendor, which also supplies my MTD parts, being in the state of Oklahoma the delays is there too with my MTD parts. They don't stock most the parts that I order and have three to five business days lead time before they even ship parts to me. I recently move my shop across the state line here and gone from a two day lead time my Briggs parts to three days and that is if I order before 2pm eastern time.

I think my worse problem in getting equipment parts is from the Homelite/Ryobi Group. It is taking up 4 weeks or longer on back ordered parts.
