    Question:
Have Husqvarna YTH2448T with transaxle problem I can't figure out: Pushing down on "forward" pedal will produce weak forward motion until approximately half range of motion of pedal. After half way until end of range of motion of pedal "strength" of forward motion/force progressively declines. Choke is fine, engine running fine, tires ok, gas set on max (rabbit symbol) brake not dragging - just as though there's a slipping clutch which slips more the more I push down on the "go" pedal. Example: going up a hill. If I push more on the pedal, the tractor will actually stop. Backing off of the pedal to - by trial and error - exactly the right setting will produce forward motion. Slow, very slow, but forward up the hill. Trouble shooting section of manual mentions "purging" the transaxle of air, but does not describe how to do to this - if that is the problem. I would have tried it if I knew how to do so.

     Hi John,

Sorry your having trouble with your mower. The purging process involves unloading the rear wheels by jacking the rear of the machine off the ground and set on jack stands. Then crank the unit up. Slowly go into forward then reverse several (min. of 6) times. Put the machine back down on the ground to see if that improves performance. If it does not then you will need to get into a dealer to see if there is something else going on with your mower. I hope this helps.
