    Question:
    I have the 2448 riding mower, I need to replace the drive belt for the third time in les than 9 years? The belt seams to stretch out to soon and I loose power when going up hills. so is there a belt being used that may be one inch smaller for better drive and longer use? the part recommended is

      Have you changed out the v-idler pulleys. These are usually made of a plastic composite that wears out causing belt slippage even on new belts as it effective lengthens the belt without physically changing the actual belt length. There should be two of them in the drive belt path.
