Is Valvoline Multi-Purposeycle engine oil TC-W3 safe for my Husqvarna saw and for my brushcutter.
The container claims that it works in all 2-cycle engines including outboard motors.
Thank you
Carl Connell
Personally I would not. Stick with the TC-3 spec. Higher operating temperature oil if I am not mistaken.
Now with that said I have in the past used Quicksilver TC-W3 spec oil in my old McCullough chainsaws without ill effects. It just a pain in the backside to accurately measure the oil for the proper fuel mix ratio. I personally switched to a multi-mix oil that was design for any engine requiring 50:1 up to 16:1 ratio with fuel stabilizers. The nice thing about a good multi mix oil is that you have only one fuel mix container for your 2 cycle equipment.
As for the Valvoline oil I ave no experience with it.

I appreciate the feedback.
I'd rather return a quart of Valvoline than risk shortening my equipment's life
