    Question:
Have a model122C string trimmer with "RUN" problems. Will start up in "choke" position, but will NOT "RUN " in the run position. Fairly new trimmer, used about 6-8 times. ALWAYS fresh gas mix (with Sta-Bil) added.. Air filter clean, spark plug new. Any ideas of what is causing problem ? Clogged "jet" in carb. ? Seems strange for a relatively new/rarely used machine. THANKS

Let's check something first as there was a few units out there with the choke label put on backwards. Remove your air cleaner and check the choke butterfly in reference to the label. It might be this simple.

If things are right then it might a clog in the carburetor as I have seen this even with stabilized fuel that had dried in the carburetor.

Thank You.  Mine is labeled correctly, choke is closed as indicated.  So I guess I am back to the probability of something restricting the "run"  circuit in the carb.  .  Will let you know IF/WHEN I get condition corrected.  Again,  thank you for your prompt reply.
