    Question:
About 6 years ago I bought a McCulloch MXC1840DK chainsaw that's not been used in several years. I emptied and replaced the gas/oil and oil, cleaned the air filter, and cleaned the spark plug. (The replacement I bought was the wrong size.) Anyway tried several times to start it, and on one of the pulls the starter coil began to spin freely without engaging the flywheel. I don't know much about chainsaws but this obviously sounded pretty bad. The starter spins freely and you can hear it clicking the pins as it recoils. I've taken it apart and though I can't see what's broken on the flywheel or starter, I obviously have a problem. Where do I start looking? Please help - thanks!
