Before buying a sharpening kit for my 450 Rancher chainsaw I need to determine which chain I have. Drive links, in the groove, are stamped 30. The depth gauge is stamped 25. Is the chain an H30, H20 or something else?
Jeff, It should be H30 chain which a .325 - .050" gauge chain which is the standard used chain on this saw. If remember correctly the depth marking is the height setting of .025" for depth control.
Eugene has it correct, I just finished working on a model 450 this past week. However a good double check, is the tail stock of the bar will have the chain numbers stenciled on the bar. (ie. .325. and .050) which relates to the pitch and gauge to match the chain.

Karla,
Thank you for your reply. The saw is a factory reconditioned unit and it looks like the bar was repainted, covering up the numbers.
