    Question:
I purchased my mower July 13, 2013. It has 71 howers of mowing on the PTO hour meter. I have a half acre yard. The mower started to run poorly three weeks ago towards the end of my forty minute mowing time for my yard. I mowed a few days ago and the engine would start to sputter and the mower would slow down, then rev back up. As soon as I disengage the PTO for the blades mower runs fine. I'm ASSuming the bearing is going out on the clutch. It was August 28, 2015. I guess that means I'm out of warranty? I believe it has a two year warranty for residential use. VERY LITTLE residential use.

    Thanks,

    Charles Abbott

Without the engine info it how what might be wrong. If it is a V-twin it can several things causing it to run one cylinder. These run fine seemly even one cylinder is working with a load. As soon the engine is loaded then you will notice lack power. Sometimes the engine will die just engaging the deck.

As for the engine warranty it is most likely it is the 2 year warranty which in  you case has just expired.
