    Question:
I just purchased a new 562XPG saw, the bar oil filler cap is way too hard to open. I put the bar on and went to fill the bar oil and was unable to remove the cap. It is only possible to open with a screwdriver, the flip up plastic thing would break off if you applied enough torque. I'm guessing this is not normal, what do I do with it? The gasket on the cap makes hard contact with the sides of the hole long before it touches the bottom. It seems like the outside of the hole is not big enough. I tried swapping the fuel cap with it, fuel cap does the same thing in the hole and the oil cap fits the fuel hole fine.

I also had trouble registering it for the warranty on the website, how do I verify that it is complete? All I get is error messages saying it is already registered.

If anyone from Husqvarna is reading this, bring back email support. To have to post on a public forum to get answers about a saw that costs this much is very poor customer service. To have to wait for business hours Mon thru Fri is not acceptable, I'd like to use my new $700 saw this weekend, but I'm not putting any fluids in it until I resolve the bar oil cap issue. Maybe I should have gone Stihl, at least they have a web form to fill out for customer service.

From your description of the problem and since both tank are supposedly the same (at least on the IPL) I would there is a problem with crankcase. I would return it to dealer where for replacement unit and before leaving make sure the replacement unit caps fit properly.

I agree that Husqvarna needs better support. Dixie Sales (Customer Service) don't seen to know anymore on what going than us users and service techs. This no way to run a business and stay in business. Customer support should be top priority.

They just changed the website this week so I got to relearn how to keep around to find info on it too.
