    Question:
My Chainsaw 350 Husqvarna muffler keeps coming loose, I've lost a bolt twice. now the threaded hole is stripped. What size is the thread on the bolt? 12-32? I need to have a helicoil installed. The Husqvarna part number for the bolt is 503204587. It does not say in the parts listing.

It more likely to be a M6-1.00 or possibly a M5-1.00. I don't have one in stock to actually measure; suggest one before installing the helicoil. Also suggest installing split lock washer under the bolt (screw) head when installing the new bolt.

      James.,

I copied the following information from a previous Answer Army Post:

( Look up "The chainsaw guy" on You Tube and search Husqvarna 350 muffler mod. He has a bracket available that attaches to the muffler bolts and then attaches to the 2 screws that hold the bucking spike. The bracket reduces the muffler vibration and the muffler bolts remain tight. )

      I hope this helps,

      James,

I thought that I would look up the link for you, I don't have a Model 350 but it definitely looks like the way to go
