Question:
My Husqvarna 128CD string trimmer had its bump knob break (and therefore the bump spring inside it).
Is this possible to replace alone?
I found a couple of parts, the bump knob and spring, are these the correct parts for the 128CD?
Husqvarna String Trimmer Bump Knob 537419601
Husqvarna String Trimmer Bump Knob Spring 530053241

I did some further research and found a trimmer head exploded view of the 128CD. It seems the bump knob spring is this part number: 537338801 (and it does appear to be a match to Poulan part numbers - not sure what the relation is there)
I ended up ordering the part from this listing on eBay for ~$4: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150481674411 and I can confirm that it is an exact replacement of the OEM bump knob spring on the Husqvarna 128CD.
So if your bump knob happens to break and your bump knob spring, this spring and the bump knob I mentioned earlier are your cheapest bets/places for replacement. Very relieved that I was able to replace it with these two parts and not have to purchase a brand new entire head. (those are $20-$25)
I have not tested the knob and spring with it running yet, but it fit and I feel sure it will function properly. I will update this if it doesn't function properly.
