snow thrower ST 523 gear box lube needed
Details:
I have a snow thrower ST 523. I have purchased new ring gears for the gear box. The parts list does not list grease for the gear box. I believe it requires a high pressure grease made for yellow gears, aka brass or bronze. Please give me a part number for this mystery grease. Also why does husquvarna not list this in the parts list?

Answer
First the gear should be made of bronze. The grease should be orange in color if so then it is Ronex ED #1 otherwise it is probably Grey/Black which is the RONEX Extra Duty 2 Moly.
