    Question:
Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw - No Oil on Bar
    Details:

I bought a Brand New Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw, with extended warranty by buying 3 quarts of ready-mixed fuel  ($10 each), from an Authorized Dealership about one year ago. DO NOT buy this Chainsaw. It has a design flaw which limits the amount of oil that goes onto the bar. You will experience your 450 Chainsaw stalling and hesitating several times within a single minute. As soon as I noticed this problem, which was within the first minute of using it, I contacted Husqvarna and my Authorized Dealership from which I bought the chainsaw the day before.

In conclusion Husqvarna refers you to your local Authorized Dealership because they will not take responsibility. Unfortunately my Authorized Dealership will not take responsibly either. My authorized dealership replaced the oil pump and the same problem occurred once again, within the first minute. No oil goes onto the bar. At this point, my Authorized Dealership is taking zero responsibility. This has been an ongoing process for the past year and NO ONE wants to help.

The base warranty has no value and the extended warranty has no value. If you read the detailed policy on Husqvarna's Extended Warranty, which is 5 years in total, it excludes everything.

DO NOT buy the Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw. You can not even use it for a full minute without an issue and I am just a home owner.

Need to check to see that the oil tank venting is working first. Also the fixed amount oil pump maybe missing it roll pin that keep its pump piston fully engaged. This can easily overlooked if the tech is not familiar with this problem as it may be been lost when assembled at the factory, when the crankcase/oil tank have been replaced, or when the oil pump is replaced.

Also if your running a bar longer than 18" you will have oiling problems with the fix amount oil pump. To this requires changing over to an adjustable pump then you can run up to a 24" bar and chain afterwards provide the tank is venting properly.
