    Question:
    I have a HU625HWT walk behind string trimmer and one of the clips that holds the string has broken off the carrier plate. I have purchased a new carrier plate but I cannot figure out how to get the old one off. I have downloaded parts catalog and user manual but still do not see how. Please advise. Thanks

      Depends how badly rusted things are. WD40 or similar penetrating fluid will help.

      1. Remove the bolt in the center of the ball.
        1. The bolt head may not be visible as this tends to fill in dirt. The head of the hex bolt is 11mm.
        2. To loosen there is a double  flat behind the ball on the shaft. This 12mm. Standard Right Hand threading.
      2. Remove the ball, bearing should come with the ball.
      3. Remove the bearing shield.
      4. Now press in the carrier adjustment tab and pull off the carrier.

      This how is suppose to come off but with rust it will very hard to take off.

      Re-assemble in reverse order.
