Product Power of the HUSQVARNA 128DJx.
I recently purchased a 2016 HUSQVARNA 128DJx (from Lowes) and currently use only HUSQVARNA fuel (the one in the can) and have recently borrowed a friends Troy Bulit Edger attachment. I attached the edger and as soon as I put it to the dirt to edge the trimmer shut off (did not hit the stop switch). The thing is when I restarted it and held the edger in the air the edger attachment worked fine however when I started to edge the engine cut out again.
So the question is, are HUSQVARNA products exclusive to HUSQVARNA attachments or is my HUSQVARNA 128Jx a dud? Thanks for the responses.

Sounds like there is a problem somewhere as I see nothing special about the 128DJx that would cause this. Depending exactly how it shutting down it might be a simple carburetor adjustment but this is one I would need to see in person to diagnose as does sound a little strange that it is just shutting off.
One thing to check is that the drive shaft couplers are matching as some of Husqvarna trimmer do have incompatible versions.
