    Question:
I have a 130 BT leaf blower. It will not run at full speed. It starts and idles just fine. When I speed up, there is an increase in rpm but no where near 7500.
So far I have replaced the spark plug, fuel filter, fuel line, air filter and carburetor.
At wide open throttle the ports are wide open on both carburetors.
The top speed is the same with either carburetor.
I was wondering if there is a governor or RPM limiter built into this leaf blower I am not aware of.

I assuming your using a tach to check the rpm and it is set for one spark per rpm, not counting every other rev.

An out of tune carburetor can limit your rpm. I am not aware of any speed limitation other carburetion.

I am not using a tach, don't need to, the increase from idle to top speed is only a small increase compared to what full speed on this leaf blower is. Odd thing is, both the old and new carbs do the same thing. I can open the throttle all the way by hand on the carb, the motor acts like it has an rpm limiter. I tried adjusting the carb accorning to factory specs,I put in new fuel ((Premium ) with the correct 1-50 oil mix. I have done everything I can think of to get this blower up to speed.except list it onm Ebay for parts. This is not a simple carb out of adjustment issue.

      A few possibles.

plugged muffler spark arrestor, sheared flywheel key or Spark advance in ignition coil failed.

Turns out it was a clogged spark suppressor screen and exhaust port. Cleaned the screen, scraped carbon out of the port, she is now a screamer.
